the vision

Red Feather is a safe place for horses with nowhere else to go. But we don't believe that rescue is the end of the story... Rather, it’s just the beginning.

We’re building something new. Something bigger. A place where their stories don’t just stop at safety: they go on to spark change.

Introducing the Red Feather Experiential Learning Center (final name still in the works, and we are open to suggestions!)

This will be a first-of-its-kind public destination built around:

  • Ethical rescue and lifelong sanctuary

  • Humane education through hands-on, real-world learning

  • Advocacy rooted in science, history, and storytelling

  • Equine-assisted programs that foster empathy and connection

This project fills a gap that most people don’t even realize exists. A place where unrideable horses still have purpose. Where high schoolers can learn equine anatomy with real bones and real mentors. Where culture, compassion, and advocacy come together to change how people see horses—and themselves.

It’s not just a barn. It’s the next chapter.
