Ready to get your boots muddy for a cause that matters?
Volunteering at Red Feather Equine Sanctuary is a deeply rewarding way to help horses who have nowhere else to go, but it’s also a serious commitment.

We’re not open to the public, and it takes time, training, and trust to become part of the herd. For that reason, we ask all prospective volunteers to commit to regular service (at least 2 hours per month) and to be ready for hands-on work that supports our animals’ well-being.
We invest a lot into onboarding and training, so we’re looking for people who are truly committed to being part of this mission.

Volunteers must be 16+ unless accompanied by a guardian, and no animal handling takes place without proper training and supervision. You’ll start by shadowing, learning, and getting to know the rhythms of life on the farm.

If you’re still excited, we’d love to hear from you. Reach out to our Volunteer Coordinator Becka Runyan if you have any questions or would like more information about what to expect: becka@redfeatherfarmnc.org.
