Intro to Horsemanship

Do you love animals but have never had an opportunity to be around horses? This workshop is for you!! Red Feather Equine Sanctuary presents "Intro to Horsemanship," co-hosted with our professional equine trainer Laura Hebard of Bushel Barns Boarding & Horsemanship. This is a unique hands-on opportunity to learn the skills needed for those desiring a relationship with equines. NOTE: this is not a riding workshop, all interaction is unmounted.

-Herd structure

-Basic cues to emotion (ears, eyes, posture, nose and tail)

-Differences between humans (predators) and horses (prey)

-Differences between horses (rescue, wild, feral, sporting, etc.)
